In this unit learners are expected to :
learn about the structures panies;
learn about the functions of different apartment;
learn the vocabularies and expressions pany structures ;
describe the structure of a pany.

The project to be plished
Research into pany in which you are interested, study pany structure, and find out the functions of different departments. Write pany profile. Prepare to present the structure and the profile of pany to the class.

panies are made up of three groups of people: the shareholders (who provide the capital), the management and the workforce.

At the top of pany hierarchy is the Board of (董事会), headed by the Chairperson (主席)or President (懂事长).
The Board is responsible for policy decisions and strategy. It will usually appoint a Managing Director (总经理)or Chief Executive Officer, (首席执行官)who has overall responsibility for the running of the business.
Senior managers (高级经理)pany officers (公司经理)head the various departments or functions within pany, which may include the following:
