Final Exam (60%)
Class Participation (20%) + 20% from other English course

3 in-class practice quizzes in preparation for the final exam
4 essays to pleted out of class, although we will do related work during class time
1 of the essays will be a short research paper (really more like an essay with research)

Notes on Grading
There is no penalty for being absent. You are responsible for being in class on time and ready to go.
However, if you miss any in-class quizzes or other in-class exercises, the attendance portion of your grade will be adjusted downward accordingly.
Note that any direct copying done by cutting and pasting from the or any other source will result in a grade of F for the assignment with no exceptions.
