观光游览胜地。抗倭名将戚继光检阅、操练水师所筑的阅兵台，世界著名物理学家吴健雄教授启蒙就学的明德楼，正在修复之中的百岁国画大师朱屺瞻先生的梅花草堂，都是人们游览的绝佳处。
浏河镇是江苏省太仓市东部濒江临海的重镇，为万里长江第一港。元代称浏家港，漕运勃发，海贸隆盛，被誉为“六国码头”。明代大航海家郑和在此七下西洋，成为与当时埃及亚历山大港媲美的大海港。今天浏河以她独特的区位优势和综合实力，被誉为“江尾海头第一镇”，是全国1887家重点镇之一。全镇总面积68平方公里，辖16个行政村、5个社区，。

浏河镇具有独特的区位优势，北靠上海航运中心组合港----太仓港开发区，东枕长江，南接上海宝山、嘉定区，西望世界文化名城苏州。浏河镇水陆交通便捷，距上海虹桥机场35公里，太仓港码头15公里。沪太、苏浏两条国家一级公里在境内交汇，离沿江高速、苏昆太高速公路仅5公里。

浏河人杰地灵，人文荟萃。是中国的“居里夫人”吴健雄、著名百岁寿星画家朱屺瞻的故乡。有着一千八百多年历史的浏河镇，具有丰富的旅游资源和特色鲜明的饮食文化。郑和纪念馆、天妃宫（玛祖庙）、紫薇阁、梅花草堂、戚继光阅兵台、新闸桥（林则徐建）、老浮桥、望江亭、明清古街等深受广大游客的欢迎。河豚、刀鱼、鲥鱼、鮰鱼等长江时鲜，她独有的“三鲜聚会”（即在同一桌上河鲜、海鲜、江鲜同时登场）的食文化早就闻名四方。
郑和《通番事迹碑》记曰：“和等自永乐初奉使诸番，今经七次。每统领官兵数万人，海船百余艘，自太仓开洋”。这确凿的证明，太仓是郑和七下西洋的起锚地，郑和船队每次返航也都是以太仓为收泊地。
