(一)复习旧知Review how question,
T:How do you get to school?How long does it take? How far is it from your home to the school.
(二)新课导学
Ask students what they can do.
Model: T: Can you sing? S: Yes, I can.
T: Can you sing in class? S: No, I can’t.
T: Can you eat in class? S: No, we can’t.
通过情态动词can的句型呈现新词及短语表达。
(三) 自学新知 1 Focus students’ attention to the picture in 1a. Ask students:
What are the students doing in the picture?
Is that good for the team to do that?
What do you want to say to them?
Help students answer. For example:
Don’t eat in class.
Don’t listen to music in class.
Focus attention on the five rules written under “school rules”. Let students read all the rules aloud and help them know their meanings.
Students work individually. Which rules are these students breaking? Write the number of the rule next to the student.

(四)检测新学 Listening
1 Do 1b Point to the instructions and names in 1b. Read it to the class. Ask students to listen carefully. Pay attention to what rules these students are breaking.
Play the recording the first time. Students listen and write the numbers after the names.
Do2a, 2b Students listen and check the activities Alan and Cindy talk about.
4 Play the recording the second time. Students listen and pay attention to these activities Alan and Cindy can do or can’t do. Circle “can” or “can’t” in the form.
巩固新知 Pairwork Students work in pairs.. Ask and answer about the school rules.
For example: A: Can we listen to music,? B: We can’t listen to music in the hallways, but we can listen to it outside.
A: Can we eat in the classroom? B: No, we can’t.
(六)课堂小结 1要求学生驾驭本节课重点词汇及祈使句。2引导学生总结归纳can句型与祈使句的转化。
