Yueyang Tower lies on the east of the Dongting Lake and in the northwest of Yueyang City. It is about 300 meters long and 130 meters wide.
Yueyang Tower is very famous. It is one of the three most famous towers in China. And it has a history of 1,800 years.
Yueyang Tower was built in 215 and rebuilt in 1983. On May 1, 1984, it was opened to the public. Since then, thousands of tourists have visited Yueyang Tower. They have not only learned about its history but also had a better understanding of its spirit “To be the first to worry about the affairs of the state and the last to enjoy oneself!”.
