注:either,also和too的用法
either,also和too,都是汉语“也、还”意。
1)also语气比too重,都是用来表肯定。
主谓之间加too字,too字两边有逗号。
either用于否定句,固定位置在句尾。
2).also一般来说,是比较正式的用语,它经常放在句中,其位置在行为动词之前,动词to be之后。如有助动词或情态动词,一般放在助动词或情态动词之后。例如:
He also works in that factory.他也在那家工厂工作。
I can also tell you a 。
3).too一般用在肯定句中,放在句末,或作为插入语放在句中。例如:
She, too,is a 。
注:neither 和 either
neither... nor... 不是。。。也不是。。。
either...or... 要么。。。要么。。。
neither是否定两者的意思,而either是或者的意思,比如:
I don not want to go to school, neither does her.
我不想上学,她也是。
You should buy a bike, either does her.
你应该买辆自行车,或者她买。
二、more than
1、 more than+名词:“不仅仅;超过”
Hibernation is more than sleep. 冬眠不仅仅是睡眠
2、 more than+数词:“超过”
Altogether there are more than 500 different kinds of bamboo. 总共有五百余种竹子。
3、 more than+形容词:“很,非常”
He was more than upset by the accident. 这次意外让他惊心之极。
more---than--- :肯定more后面的,否定than后面的
He’s more mad than stupid
5、no more than+名词、动词、数词、句子等:意为:只不过;和……一样
There on some hay on the ground lay a peasant boy of not more than seventeen. 地面干草上躺着一个不到十七岁的农家孩子。
三、alone lonely的区别
alone为形容词,意为“单独的”,只作表语,,没有助手或同伴,没有感情色彩的只表示客观的状态.
lonely意为“孤独的”,表示主观上感到孤独、寂寞,有较浓的感情色彩,指因缺少朋友、同情、,,意为“荒凉;偏僻”,多修饰表示地点的名词.
alone还可以作副词.
alone 副词 ;独自
She went home alone.
