Overview of Jiangyin Harbour Economic Development District
Jiangyin Harbour Economic Development District is located in the west of Jiangyin with Wuxi in the south, the Yangtze River in the North and the main urban area of Jiangyin in the east. It also borders Changzhou in the west. It is located in the geometric center of the metropolitan area within the Yangtze River delta.
Thanks to 24 km deep-water stretch of Yangtze River, it owns the best natural resources and largest space to develop the port industry. With an area of 188 km2 and a population of around 200,000, it possesses the power of economic examination and approval for national economic development zone as well as the administrative level of provincial economic development zone. The economic aggregate has ranked among provincial-level development zones for 9 consecutive years.
