本文介绍的主要内容就是电子商务(merce),是指实现整个贸易过程中各阶段的贸易活动的电子化。它是一种交易的各方以电子交易方式而不是通过当面交换或直接面谈的方式进行任何形似的商业交易,是一种多技术的集合体,包括交换数据(如电子数据交换、电子邮件)、获得数据(共享数据库、电子公告牌)以及自动捕捉数据(条形码)等等。电子商务涵盖的业务包括:信息交换、售前售后服务(提供产品和服务的细节、产品使用技术指南、回答顾客意见)、销售、电子支付(使用电子资金转帐、信用卡、电子支票、电子现金)、运输、逐渐虚拟企业(组建一个物理上不存在的企业,集中一批独立的中小公司的权限,提供比任何单独公司多的多的产品和服务)、公司和贸易伙伴可以共同拥有和运营共享的商业方法等等总而言之,电子商务是利用现有的计算机硬件设备、软件和网络基础设施,通过一定的协议连接起来的电子网络环境进行各种各样商务活动的方式。我们在这里建立的就是一个虚拟的电子商务企业。主要实现的是通过网络技术实现贸易的电子化。保护网络系统中的硬件、软件及其数据不受偶然或恶意原因而遭到破坏、更改、泄露,保障系统连续可靠地运行,网络服务不中断,成为网络安全的主要内容。
本文侧重于网络通信安全这一方面,而密码学正是研究通信安全保密的科学,是保护信息在信道的传递过程中不被敌方窃取、解读和利用的方法。通信安全保密研究围绕寻找更好更强的密码体制而展开,这些正是本文所要讨论的中心问题。本文详细介绍了加密技术,在此基础上列举了DES、RSA、DSS/DSA等算法及PGP加密系统,并对其进行了分析、比较。
