140 THE ANATOMY OF A PROJECT
So many variables have to be taken into
account in a project that it can seem
plex when explained,
especially since the design process is
both subjective and objective. It is all
relatively straightforward, though,
when a project is seen as a sequence from
beginning to end. This chapter takes the
opportunity to present a single project as
a case study. The designs and masterplan
for four unique public spaces in Coventry,
England, provide a very good window on how
a design team is assembled, how a concept
blossoms into a design, and how the final
design is realised.
