一、一般现在时
1、基本结构:①be动词,其变化形式是am, is, are;
②行为动词: 当主语为第三人称单数时,在动词原形后要加-s或者-es。多数动词后面加-s。以字母o,s,x,ch,sh结尾的动词后面加-es,如go—goes,fix--fixes。动词末尾-y前为辅音字母时,则变y为I,再加-es。如carry变为carries,而play变为plays。
I’m a student. He is a student. We’re students.
He goes to school every morning.
2、否定形式:①am/is/are+not;②此时态的谓语动词若为行为动词,则在其前加don't,如主语为第三人称单数,则用doesn't,同时还原行为动词。
一般疑问句:①把be动词放于句首;②用助动词do提问,如主语为第三人称单数,则用does,同时,还原行为动词。
被动语态:is/are done
3、基本用法:
1)表示经常或****惯性的动作,常同often, every so often, sometimes, usually, always, occasionally, rarely, seldom, twice a week, every week, on Sundays, weekly, now and then, as a rule, normally, generally,等状语连用。
◆ Sometimes es by train, but usually es by car.
◆ As a rule he gets to work by bike instead of on foot.
2) 表示特征、能力或现实的情况或状态。
◆ He is always ready to help others.
◆ The window is open now.
3) 表示普遍真理、事实,也用在格言中。
Time means life; time means speed; time means strength.
4)状语从句中用一般现在时代替一般将来时。引导状语从句的引导词可能是when, if, after, as soon as, the minute, the moment, the instant, the next time, whether, although, as unless, even if, so long as, until, till, wherever, whatever, whenever等引导的时间、条件、比较等状语从句中,用一般现在时代替一般将来时。
◆ If it snows tomorrow, I won’t go out.
◆ I will go whether es with me or stays at home.
◆ As long as you keep on working hard, you will solve the problem.
5) 表示按规定、计划或安排要发生的动作,但只限于少数动词,如arrive, begin, close, end, come, go, leave, open, return, sail, start, stop等。
