Before every Carnival, the citizens elect “the king of Carnival”, “the queen of Carnival” and “the princess of Carnival”.
Carnival is held in the second or the last ten days of every February. Several millions of citizens of Rio de Janeiro and ing out of admiration from all over the world surge into the streets, wearing their gala attire, and dance the samba with various themes. It lasts 11 hours.
