促销是商战的主要手段,自从产品变成商品的那一刻起,为了完成它从使用价值到价值的“惊险一跃”,属于不同所有者的商品便借助不同的渠道、不同的方式、不同的手段和不同的方法开始了惊心动魄的促销大战。
一、广义的促销活动一般用promotion来翻译promotion指为推销商品而作的广告宣传、促销活动。例如:
Advertising is often the most effective method of promotion.做广告往往是最有效的推销方法。
二、廉价销售、大甩卖这里我们用sale来翻译。首先看一看sale的几个词义:
1.act of selling or of giving an item in exchange for money出售、销售
(1)Cash sale: selling sth for cash现金销售
(2)For sale: ready to be sold 待售;出售例如:
They put the factory up for sale.他们要卖掉工厂。
(3)On sale:上市的例如:
These items are on sale in most chemists. 这些商品在大多数药店均有销售。
2.sale可指大贱卖;(特价)廉售例如:
The shop is having a sale to clear old stock. 这家商店正在进行特价廉售以清除旧货库存。
常用表达有:
