摘要:本文从艾米丽勃朗特的写作背景入手,结合《呼啸山庄》的主要故事情节分析了本小说的艺术结构以及主题思想,主要剖析了《呼啸山庄》的男主人公的人物形象,从希斯克利夫由人到魔的转变再到其人性的复苏,一方面,希斯克利夫确实怀有刻骨铭心的仇恨,并对他所认为的敌人进行残酷的复仇,但是他并非一个与生俱来的残忍复仇者,他的仇恨和残忍是对所遭受苦难的正常反应,而非内心邪恶的外在表露。当他所遭受的伤害超过了他的承受能力,他便把这爱化成了恨,使得他要去复仇,要去报复一切。他的悲剧是他不愿也不能忘却和原谅过去。对他来说,爱和恨都是生命的呼唤。

Abstract: This thesis begins with Emily Bronte’s writing background, bined with the main storyline of “wuthering heigths” to analysis the art of the novel and the theme of the story .
