Abstract: With the continuous development of globalization and the rise of China's international status, more and more people are starting to learn English. As English teachers in higher vocational colleges, it is required to have solid professional knowledge and teaching skills, and continuously improve their professional level to adapt to the constant changes in education reform and student needs. This paper aims to explore the professional development of English teachers in higher vocational colleges, focusing on the aspects of academic qualifications, participation in educational training, and research of academic papers.

Introduction
English teachers in higher vocational colleges play an important role in cultivating high-quality professionals, and their professional development is crucial to improving the quality of education and meeting the needs of students. This paper will analyze the professional development of English teachers in higher vocational colleges from the perspectives of academic qualifications, participation in educational training, and research of academic papers.
I. Academic Qualifications
Academic qualifications are one of the important criteria for measuring the professional level of a teacher. English teachers in higher vocational colleges need to continuously improve their academic qualifications and obtain higher degrees to better fulfill their teaching tasks.
