the origin of the Spring Festival
Once upon a time , there is a scary monster called ‘Nian’. It killed people and made people scared a lot. But people later learned that “Nian" was afraid of loud noises and the color red, so every year we have a lot of custom, such as set off the fireworks to make loud noises, paste red paper on the doors, wear red clothing, hang up red lanterns. At last, an old man subdued ‘Nian’. Since then people began to enjoy their peaceful life.
