使用刀叉
比如在用餐时要放下刀叉,应将其放在盘子两边,刀与叉子头向内。
比如用完了餐(即使盘中仍有剩余食物),应把刀叉平行斜放入盘中,叉齿朝下。叉离自己近、刀离自己远。
在将盘中食物推到叉上去时,应使用面包,而不要用刀去推。
不要始终拿着刀,也不要刀朝上。而要在切好食物后,便放下刀,让刀放在盘子平行的右侧,然后使用叉吃。

1. 就坐
入席时,客人应该由座椅的左方就为,离席的时候亦应由座椅的左方退出座位。就坐时,人与餐桌的距离以便于使用餐具为佳,身体要坐直,胳膊肘在用餐时自始至终不能搁在餐桌上。就餐前不要随意摆弄餐桌上已经摆好的餐具。如果是应邀到别人家里做客,应该待主人先摊开餐巾以后,才可以把放在桌上的餐巾铺置在自己的膝盖上,,都要以主人为先。如果中途暂时离开座位,切勿将餐巾摊在桌上,因为这意味你不再吃,侍者便不会再为你上菜了,所以在离开时须将餐巾放在椅子上才对。用餐完毕,餐巾大致叠好,放在餐桌上,不要乱扔。
使用刀叉进餐时,由外侧往内侧取用刀叉,一般情况下(左撇子例外)左手持叉,右手持刀;使用刀时,刀刃不可向外。进餐中放下刀叉时应摆成“八”字型,分别放在餐盘边上。每吃完一道菜,将刀叉并拢放在盘中,表示侍者可以将餐具撤走。如果是谈话,可以拿着刀叉,无需放下。不用刀时,可用右手持叉。但若需要做手势时,就应放下刀叉。切忌手执刀叉在空中挥舞摇晃。在任何时候,都不要将刀叉的一端放在盘上,另一端放在桌子上。
