How to assure a pany’s BC plan

In our DR/BC practice, the most important quantitative parameters we collect are Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Is that all about measured criteria to call a ess DR/BC plan? Your answer is no and you tell you have done more. You’ve conducted an enterprise-wide Risk Assessment (RA) and instituted annual Business Impact Analysis surveys to identify critical functions – to enable you to determine the scope of your BCM programs and the number of BC/DR plans that need to exits. You got some BC plan template from the web and adapted them for your use. You have scenario Plans for each major anticipated disruption (or a worst case Plan – at least as far a DR planning is concerned).
You have all those Plans written in MS-Word and panied by some Excel spreadsheets, and stored them where required people have accesses. You diligently tested your Plans. The test dates were well considered so that your key participants are given plenty of advance notice to update their Plans, and arrange their schedules, and book the cheapest flights. You passed the final project review and your senior management is happy about the results.
