固定搭配的错误
英语中的固定搭配有动词、形容词、名词同介词的搭配以及许多惯用法等。看下面的例子:
John and his father was able to wake up

early enough to catch the morning train.

解析:答案为A。neither…nor…既不…也不…,是固定搭配。
time went on, he suffered such heavy losses
    A          B                             C
 that he was forced giving up his business.
                                                             D
解析:答案为D。be forced to do sth:被迫做…,要接不定式。因此应改为to give up
第2课
代词、替代词的错误
解题的时候要看清楚句子中的代词有没有前后矛盾的地方,比如前面是我们we,但是后面的宾格却用了them(应该改为us)。请看例句:
1.(Those of us) who work in (laboratories) should have (their) lungs (checked) quite regularly.
解题:错处是their。应改为our,代指前面的those of us。
showed (the customs) officer her passport, and (then) John showed (him) (his one).
接替:答案为his one。应改为his,his本身可以作名词性的物主代词,不需要再用one了。
第3课
连接词的错误
句子中的从句有很多种,这时候就要看清楚是何种从句,从而决定连接词用得对与否。
例:
Mary found it (difficult) to talk (calmly) about (which) she had (experienced) at the station.
接替:答案为which。应该改为what。About后面的是一个宾语从句,引导词不用which。
The United States (posed) of fifty states, (two of those) are (separated from) (the others) by land or water.
解题:答案为two of those,应该改成two of which。后半句其实是一个非限定性的定语从句,不能用those。

主谓一致方面的问题,主要表现为数的不一致。
