【中文摘要】中国的禅宗是对老、庄部分思想的吸收后形成自己独特的理论体系,主张以“心”为主宰,它可以使人们不再受广泛教义的束缚,并从中解脱出来,让世人从其自身来体悟人生乃至达到顿悟的审美境界,因此禅宗的形成是中国文化的一种特殊现象。本文以宋代禅僧画为研究对象。禅僧画就是禅僧们用笔墨进行创作的绘画作品,它是禅宗以一种不同于其他教派的修行模式与中国的传统文化融合后,在中国的绘画领域形成的一个特殊的绘画流派。宋代禅僧画从题材的表现上可以视为禅宗墨戏,大概涉及以下两个方面:第一,禅僧所创作的绘画作品,包括直接表达禅学或禅宗思想的画作和间接地表现禅宗思想或受到禅宗思想启发,创作出具有浓厚禅意的画作;第二,禅僧进行题赞的绘画作品。因为绘画作品的含义可以通过艺术形式加以表现,而禅僧们受文人士大夫们的影响较深,所以宋代的禅僧们在其画作的构图形式上随心所欲,不采用固定的模式,而且禅僧们还通过绘画创作来宣泄自己的情感,并通过禅宗的修行引禅意入画境。宋代禅僧画对后世绘画的发展也有很大的影响,其中包括对后世文人画的推动和对日本绘画发展的影响,从而使宋代禅僧画在中国的绘画史上打上了深深的印记。
