ABSTRACT
P2P streaming technology is capable to utilize the idle resource sufficiently in work. Without changing the work architecture, it shows a great expandability and has e a hotspot in the field of streaming distribution technology and P2P technology research. To choose the right topological structure to establish work is the core problem in P2P streaming technology, while most of the existing topology formation algorithms are heuristic algorithms, in which the factors are determined from experience and lack of theoretical analysis. With bination of work theory, this article has focused on the research of P2P streaming topology structure. The work is conducted from several aspects as following:
First, the current situation of the P2P streaming topology formation study has been analyzed. On the one hand, the traditional method of topology formation has been summarized as tree-based topology structure, mesh-based topology structure and mixed topology structure. Three typical systems have been introduced from each of these topology structures. On the other hand, the application of work in the recent study of P2P streaming formation has been summarized into two categories: network measurement and analysis, topology formation mechanism and evolutionary models basing on the measuring result.
Second, many efforts have been putting on revealing how to use the properties work to solve the problem in P2P steaming topology structuring. In this article, small-work is chosen among work theory system. With the analysis of how bine small-work theory and P2P streaming technology, a P2P streaming topology formation algorithm has been proposed based on small-work: use all the super nodes to form a small-work and keep the original cluster structure
within the cluster. With the sh
