CNC incremental forming technology is a new type of dieless forming technology. It is in line with modern manufacturing requirements of fast, low-cost, flexible and other technology trends. The technology is used to meet the needs of small batch, many varieties and prototype making, and to re- alize the sheet metal parts fast, low-cost, flexible forming. In recent years, many scholars and institu- tions have made a lot of research. As NC incremental forming technology support platform, the re- search and C incremental forming machine tool are very important. A small C incremental forming machine is designed for incremental forming research and teaching in this paper. The main tasks of this thesis are:
First,by C incremental forming and investigating design documentation of such
machine tool, the overall design plan of the machine tool is proposed in this paper. The machine tool is finally determined to posed of engraving and milling machines and raising platform parts.
Second, on the basis of the overall design plan, the ponents of the machine have been designed in detail, especially the lift parts.
Third, the three-dimensional model of the machine tool is created by using 3D CAD software. And interference analysis and structure validation of machine tool structure are carried out. Solid- Works software is utilized to greatly shorten the design cycle and improve design efficiency.
Fourth, the static and dynamic characteristics of the incremental forming machine main structure are analyzed by using the software of ANSYS Workbench. And the design is optimized according to results of finite-element analysis.
Fifth, CNC sheet metal incremental forming machine pletely assembled and tested run. missioning, the machine runs smoothly and the machined parts meet requirements, which prove the feasibility of machine design.
