一、教学内容:

四、教具准备
运用录音机、多媒体、实物辅助教学。
五、教学步骤
Step 1: Greetings
Step 2: Revision
1. Show a real radio to review “radio”.
1).What’s this?
2).Can you spell it?
2. Turn it on to review “radio show”.
3. T :( Turn on the radio).The radio is too quiet. What shall we do?
S: Turn up the radio!
  T :( Turn up the radio.)The radio is too loud. What shall we do?
  S: Turn down the radio!
Step3: New Concepts
1. Demonstrate “off”,” on” and the new phrases “turn it on\off ” with the radio. Turn it off and on as the teacher says the words and phrases.
2. The teacher turns on\off\up\down the radio, and the students should say what the teacher does.
3. Write some orders on the paper. Ask e to the blackboard.
Others read the orders on the paper together. The volunteers should do this as others say.
Orders: 1) Turn on \up\off\down the radio!
      2) Turn on\off the light!
(Note that you can “turn down\up” a radio in English, but not a light.)
4. T: What else can turn on and turn off?
  Ss:lights\stoves\showers\puters…
Step 4: Use the student book and audiotape.
1. Listen to the audiotape and then read after it.
2. Look at the screen.
There are some sentences about the text on the screen, the students should check the sentences right or wrong. If it is wrong, why?
(Checking for understanding.)
① Danny doesn’t have eyes.(F)
②Jenny is listening to the radio.(F) 
③ Danny likes to watch TV loudly .(T)
④At last, Danny thinks dinosaurs and people are the same.(F)
3. Role play
Step 5: Ending
Divide the class into small groups. Ask each group to make a dialogue about turning things on and off.
