1. 专有名词:指表示人、地方、机构、组织等的专有名称。具体说来,它包括人名、地名、月份、星期、节日、书名、电影名以及某些抽象名词等。
如:
Jim 吉姆 China 中国 Mr. Smith 史密斯先生
July 七月 Friday 星期五 the Yellow River 黄河
Christmas 圣诞节 A Tale of Two Cities 《双城记》
注:专有名词的首字母通常要大写。若是专名名词词组,则其中每个单词的首字母要大写;若是缩略词,则通常每个字母都大写;称呼家人的 mum, dad, father, mother 等有时也可小写。
名词(noun)
eg: girl、boy、student...
eg: audience、nation、police、people...
eg: work、happiness、bitter...
Countable noun(可数名词)变复数的情况:
1. 一般情况直接加S
eg: girl--girls boy---boys
pen--pens friend--friends
, X,sh, ch等结尾的词加-es
eg: bus--buses watch--watches
,
eg: photo--photos piano--pianos
有生命的加es,
eg: potato--potatoes tomato--tomatoes
hero--heroes negro--negroes
4. 以f/fe结尾的名词,去f/fe加ves,
eg: half--halves knife--knives
leaf--leaves wife--wives
注:特殊情况直接加s
口诀:海湾农奴信酋长,证据写在屋顶上。

5. 以辅音+y结尾的词,变y为i加es
eg: baby--babies
6. 不规则:
a: 单复数形式一样
eg: sheep deer Chinese Japanese people
b: 其他的
eg: foot--feet goose--geese tooth--teeth

child--children mouse--mice
ox--oxen
Uncountable noun(不可数名词)
定义:无法定量的词
eg: water, furniture,information...
名词的格(case)
名词的格直接在后面加’s

以s结尾的直接加'
eg: Teachers' Day Ladies' room
没有生命的用名词+of+名词的结构
