摘要
随着经济全球化的发展城市面临着个性趋同的危机,保护历史文化遗产和可持续发展是今后发展城市个性的两个重要方面。本文以杭州北山街历史街区保护工程为研究对象,探索一条如何打造城市个性的道路。
论文介绍了国外历史文化遗产保护情况及中国历史文化遗产保护的历程, 把历史文化遗产的保护分为三个层次,即保护文物保护单位、保护历史文化街区、保护历史文化名城。其中历史文化街区是反映城市历史发展脉络、展示城市文化、促进城市居民相互交往的重要场所。文章简要阐述历史文化街区的历史、现状与相关理论。
论文以杭州北山街历史文化街区为实例,探讨新世纪历史文化街区保护与利用的模式,提出了城市更新过程中历史街区保护与利用的内容、公共理念和政策。阐述建立公众参与城市规划制度的必要性,探讨了类型学方法与GIS技术在历史街区保护中的运用,以便为今后的保护工作提供依据。

Abstract
With the growth of the economic globalization,the city faces the similar individuality world heritage and Sustainable development are two aspects of the city individuality a case study on BeiShan Road historic and cultural district protection in Hangzhou,the paper tries to find a way to create the individuality eity.
This paper introduces conservation of historic districts home and overseas, provides that conservation of historic sites falls into three categories which are historic buildings,historic districts,historic and cultural historic districts in a city is the main site where reflects the development of city history,reveals the
city’s culture,and advances the mumal intercourse of to, paper
expounds the history and present conditions of historic and cultural district and related theories about historic and cultural district.
Take an example of BeiShan Road historic and cultural district in Hangzhou, this paper discusses the modes ofthe urban conservation and renewal in the new era. It mends to extend historic and cultural mon ideas and policy and content for the current and future paper proposes that it is necessary to establish institution in the public participation ofurban planning and discusses the
evolution of typology and GIS Technology as well as its application in the conservation ofthe historic districts,
