Summary:
Det Norske Veritas Certification Ltd. (DNV) has performed a validation of the “Yichun Erduoyan
Wind Power Project ” in China on the basis of criteria for the CDM, as well as
criteria given to provide for consistent project operations, monitoring and reporting.
criteria refer to Article 12 of the Kyoto Protocol, the CDM modalities and procedures and the
subsequent decisions by the CDM Executive Board. This validation report summarizes the findings
of the validation.
The validation consists of the following three phases: i) a desk review of the project design and the
baseline and monitoring plan, ii) follow-up interviews with project stakeholders and iii) the resolution
of outstanding issues and the issuance of the final validation report and opinion.
In summary, it is DNV’s opinion that the project, as described in the project design document of 15
October, 2006, meets all relevant requirements for the CDM and correctly applies the
approved baseline and monitoring methodology ACM0002. Hence, DNV requests the registration of
the “Yichun Erduoyan Wind Power Project ” as a CDM project activity.
