Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) is the most energy-efficient water heating device. Owing to the
global awareness on energy saving and the reduction on CO2 emission, HPWH, particularly the air
source heat pump water heater, es a hot topic in hot water industry, and more and more heat
pump water heater panies have been founded, particularly in the recent years.
However, there are always this-or-that kinds of problems, and/or imperfections on the majority of
the heat pump water heaters (., the reliability and the life of the units are still the problem for
most of the heat panies). To help this industry growth healthily, this paper firstly presents
the main requests on Heat Pump Water Heaters by Australian Standards, and then introduces some
characteristics of Quantum heat pump water heaters (domestic models) and other Quantum heat
pump hot water systems.
