1 Restraining System with Head Airbag
In General Volkswagen's new head airbag increases
protection to passengers in its vehicles. It was
employed for the first time in small numbers in the
B class in January 1999.
It provides extra protection over and above the
ponents. Optimum protection is only had
when all these ponents are functioning
and being used by the passengers. The A class
with all its variants is to be the next model to make
use of the head airbag.
There continue to be significant differences
between Volkswagen and Audi as regards
components and functionality.
Furthermore, the two cars also have different
suppliers.
