Lesson 41 A Phone Friend
How often do you make phone calls to your friend? 你多久和你朋友通一次电话?
1).How often 多久,多么经常。这是就动作频率提问的疑问副词。其回答通常是once a week, twice a month, three times a day等这样的频度副词。
--How often do you write to your parents? 你多久给你的父母写一次信?
--Once a month. 一月一次。
--How often do they have a sports meeting? 他们多久开一次运动会?
--Twice a year. 一年两次。
2)make phone calls to…给…打电话
关于打电话的表达方式很多,除此之外,还可以用call sb., phone sb., ring sb. up等。
I will call you if es. 如果他来,我就给你打电话。
Did you phone Lucy? 你给露西打电话了吗?
He often rings me up late at night. 他经常晚上给我打电话。
Jim makes a phone call to his friend. 吉姆给他的朋友打电话了。
2. Is it hard to understand your friends when they speak English? 当你的朋友说英语的时候很难听懂吗?
Is it hard to do sth. 干某事很难吗? 这是It is +adj. +to do sth. 构成的一般疑问句。句中的it为形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式短语。句意为“做…事很难”。
It is good for our health to have sports. 进行体育锻炼有益于我们的身体健康。
It isn’t east to learn English well. 学好英语不容易。
It is very interesting to make a snowman in winter. 冬天堆雪人很有意思。
3. If so, what can you ask them to do? 如果是这样,你要求他们怎么做?
If so=If it is rue 如果是这样
If so, I’ll go instead of you. 如果是这样,我替你去。
So(与动词、连词、形容词等连用,避免重复;常用的动词有say, think, speak, tell, hope ,believe, expect, do等)这样,如此
It was his duty to do so. 这样做是他的职责。
Don’t you think so? 你不这样认为吗?
--Is he ill? --I think so. 他病了吗?恐怕是的。
2) ask sb. to do sth. 要求某人做某事。,其动词为宾语补足语,常用动词为不定式结构。其否定为ask sb. not
