摘要: 颜色是一种自然现象,它附着在各种事物中,使得大千世界五彩缤纷,充满了各种各样的绚丽色彩。人们对各种颜色的认识大体是一致的,但由于各民族之间的地理、历史、思维、民族心理、宗教等文化背景方面的差异,人们对各种颜色所产生的联想大不相同。只要语言、民族文化的差异存在一天, 不同的民族语言在颜色词的使用上就不可能一致, 然而随着当今时代的飞速发展,中西文化相互沟通与交流,使得两种文化在许多方面出现了不同程度的融合,颜色词的使用及其象征意义的同与异就是最基本的代表。在本文中,就将以红与黑这两色为例从中西差异与中西文化融合两个方面来浅谈颜色词在中西文化中的象征意义。

Abstract: Color is a natural phenomenon which adhering to different kinds of things ,it creates brilliant and colorful world. Understanding of various colors are generally consistent, but because of the differences between various ethnic groups in the geography, history, thinking, the national psychology, religion and other culture backgrounds, the associations which people produce from various colors are not the same. As long as the differences in language and national culture exist, the use of color words in different national languages would not be consistent, however,along with the rapid development of modern society, Chinese and Western culture municate with each other, it makes the two cultures appear the fusion in different degrees in many ways, and the similarity and difference between the use and the symbolic significance of color words are the best representative. In this paper, we will take the two colors“red and black” as an example to discuss the symbolic meaning of the color words in Chinese and Western culture from their cultural differences and
