 宾语从句的定义
在复合句中作动词或介词宾语的从句叫做宾语从句。
He wants to go to school.
I think that he wants to go to school.
主语  谓语动词  一个句子作宾语
(三要素:连接词、语序和时态)
宾语从句中引导词(连接词)的用法.
(1) 从属连词:that (表陈述意义),whether, if(表疑问意义)只起连接作用,不作句子成分,whether, if表示“是否”
陈述意义:
eg : I believe ( that )he is honest_(他是诚实的)
注:(that无实际意义,在口语中或非正式文体中常被省略。)
I think(that) he is honest and that he is always keeping his promise.
注:(若从句并列时,后面的从句that不能省略)
翻译: He said (that) he wanted to stay at home.(他说他想呆在家里)
疑问意义: (变为宾语从句时语序为陈述语序。)
1. Is she a student?
-------I don’t know whether/if she is a student.
2. Is that book interesting?
--------I don’t know whether/if that book is interesting.
3 Will e?
---------I wonder whether/if he e.
4. Do you have enough money?
--------He asked me whether/if I had enough money.
翻译:Nobody knew whether he could pass the exam. (没有人知道他是否会通过考试)
注:但在下列情况下只能用whether,不能用if:
当从句做介词的宾语时只用whether 不用if 
  eg, We are talking about whether we'll go on the ic.
翻译:eg: I'm interested in whether he likes English.(是否他喜欢英语)
在不定式前用whether。
eg: He hasn't decided whether to go by bus or by train.
翻译:eg, He doesn’t know whether e or not.(他不知道是否来还是不来)
从句置于句首时
eg: Whether she e I‘m not sure.
翻译:Whether she got married ,I don’t know.(是否她结婚了)
与 or not 直接连用时。
I don’t know whether this is true or not
引导主语从句和表语从句时宜用whether。
