First, by entering the website, please go to the “Download” page, and download the Client side Application, like below:
If you have sound card on puter, please install the sound version, otherwise, install the no sound version please.
After downloading it, run the .exe file, it will guide you through the whole install process:
Press “Next”…
Next…
Click ‘Yes’ to install Microsoft Agent…
Please choose ‘No’ here,there is no need to restart puter.
Install to the directory you choose.
Install finished.
2. Click icon “Cute-Pet” on the desktop to run the client
Then you will see our “Cute Pet” at last…it will automatically show the web services available now, choose the ones you like…
After Pressing ‘OK’,Pet will update its services automatically.
If you meet any errors, or you want to update the services when the cute pet is running, you can click the ‘Update’ button on the menu.
The ‘Option’ on the menu will show the configuration view to you:(below)
It contains the remote server’s URL which may be need for ‘Update’(highlight part).
3、After updating Cute Pet has got five web services. User can get news, stock, weather, joke and quote in time from these services.
The way doing so is:
Click the CutePet, choose ‘Service’ on the menu, and click the service you want. (such as ‘Weather Info’->’China Weather’
The CutePet will request the city you want to check for weather:
Type ‘Beijing’ in the edit box, and press OK. Cute pet will get the newest information to you.
during the process, if you want to abort this task, you can click the pet directly and choose ‘Stop’.
4. You can try other services by yourself and ‘Help’ will show guides to you.
