摘要
计算机技术的日新月异和互联网的普及使得运用现代教育技术创建有效的语言环境并
使之贯穿于教学的过程成为可能现在的语言学习强调以学习者为中心和培养学习者的
自主性许多高校相继投入了大量的人力物力建立网上语言学习课堂开发网络学习软
件但对于这种新的教学模式效果的实证性研究却有待于丰富本文通过比较两种模式
在阅读教学上的差异结合计算机辅助教学以及培养阅读能力的理论和实践研究探讨
了网络学习模式对于提高学习者阅读能力的影响
作者从上海交通大学 2004 级非英语专业一年级学生的在线英语教学试点班和传统教
学班中各抽取一个班级作了为期 4 个月的对比实验研究在保证实验前两个班级学生阅
读总体水平相似的前提下在学期末对学生的阅读水平进行了测试并采用问卷调查的
形式了解了学习者对这两种教学模式在启发背景知识培养词汇能力激发阅读积极性
选择真实阅读材料方面以及对阅读教学方面的意见和建议所有测试和问卷的数据均由
SPSS 统计软件进行对比分析
在线学习模式和传统面授教学模式在英语阅读教学方面存在一定差异相比较而言在
线学习模式在启发背景知识培养词汇能力激发阅读积极性和选择真实阅读材方面有
其独特的优势同时统计数据证明网络班级学生的总体阅读水平在学期末明显优于传
统面授班级作者在研究基础上指出了本实验存在的局限性也提出了对在线英语学习
模式和英语阅读教学的建议最后作者指出两种教学模式在阅读教学方面各有利弊
对任何一种教学模式持全盘肯定或全盘否定的态度都是不科学的作者希望本研究可以
为在线英语阅读教学以及大学英语阅读教学提供一定的参考在教学实践中如何使两
种模式扬长避短从而更有效地进行阅读教学才是有意义的

Abstract
The advancement of technology and the popularity of the greatly help
to incorporate the efficient leaning environment in the second/foreign language
teaching and learning. As great importance has been attached to the leaner-centered
paradigm, more and more universities have invested large amount of capital and
labor in constructing on-line language learning labs and developing on-line
language learning courseware as well. Meanwhile, more empirical studies are
required for further insights over the effects of this new mode on language
acquisition. Drawing on the theoretical and practical studies on reading and the on-
line teaching and learning mode, this paper first summarizes the prominent reading
related differences between the on-line leaning mode and the traditional face-to-face
instructional mode, and later investigates the detailed effects of the on-line learning
mode on improving the learners’ reading proficiency through parative study.
