内容提要
会展业能够创造出可观的经济效益和社会效益,它的发展越来越为世界各国所重视,在慕尼黑、杜塞尔多夫、纽约、巴黎、新加坡和香港等世界著名的“会展名城”,会展业给这些城市带来了巨额利润和空前的繁荣。
会展业作为一个新兴产业,在信息交换、商品交易、技术交流和资金引进方面的重要作用越来越缛到世界各国的关注,北京作为全国的政治中心、文化中心和国际交往中心,会展业一直在全国处于重要位置。作为北京地区整体经济的一个重要组成部分,面对我国加入世界贸易组织和北京举办2008年奥运会的机遇,会展业市场开放步伐将明显加快、高水平的国际会展将大量涌入jE京。北京市会展业的规模和水平将大幅度的提高。同时,北京市会展业发展也面临严峻的挑战。
如何实现北京市政府提出的要把北京建成“国际性会展中心城市”的目标,如何在激烈的竞争中取缛竞争优势。如何提升北京市会展业的竞争力是摆在我们面前的一个重要课题。
本文尝试性地将国家钻石体系理论的分析框架应用于会展业。对北京市会展业国际竞争力进行了初步的探索性分析,并从政府、行业协会、企业三个层面系统地提出了新形势下提升北京市会屣业国际竞争力的发展对策和政策建议。

ABSTRACT
Meeting,conference and exposition industry(MCE for short)is considered as an important part of economy by more and more countries because both economy and society can benefit from it industry brought huge profit and fast economy development to many famous cities,such as Munich,New York,Paris, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Many countries’attention is focused on the contribution of the new born industry to information modity trade,munication and investment.
Because Beijing is the polities,culture and international intercourse center of China,MCE industry in Beijing is playing an important role in the whole country economy and it will develop at a high speed in the ing the
WTO and the 2008 OIympic Games will make Bei]ing face a great number of both
opportunities and chaHenges.
How to fulfill the goal declared by Beijing government to make Beijing a center ci哪of international MCE industry?How can Beijing petition advantage in petition?How to improve the petitiveness of Beijing MCE industry?
In the article the author will show her answers of the three questions above OH the basis of her analysis on the strategy of Beijing MCE industry using national diamond system theory.
