Education in the United States
(1) Education in the United States consists of education in elementary school, secondary school, middle school, high school, community college, junior college, college, institute and in university.
Elementary School
A school classified as elementary by state and local practice posed of any span of grades not above grade 8. A preschool or kindergarten school is included under this heading only if it is an integral part of an elementary school or a regularly established school system.
A middle school usually includes grades 7 through 8.
