SDH技术的核心在于组网,只有在网络的环境下,SDH的各项优越性才能充分体现出来。功能完善、符合统一标准的SDH和管理系统对整个SDH的服务质量及维护成本都有深刻意义,是SDH网络技术成败的关键,SDH与网络管理是密不可分的,SDH技术的一个重要特点就是组网的灵活性和安全性,并可以有效地提高网络资源的利用率,这也是现代电信网的一个主要特征。本文首先对SDH技术进行介绍,随后阐述了SDH网的组成,以及SDH网在我国的应用情况,并探讨了SDH网络拓扑及线路保护及其SDH技术的发展前景和国产SDH设备的发展方向,重点讨论10Gbit/s SDH网的保护,最后是对SDH网的总结和相关看法。
