语体、语域与翻译
———英汉翻译风格纵横谈

摘要:本文在翻译理解的各个层面阐述了传统的文体学和现代语体、语域分析方法。作者大量引用个人翻译实践中
的例句,首先向读者介绍美国语言学家 Martin Joos 所提出的 5 种文体正式程度,然后从微观到宏观分 5 个层面对语体和语
域进行动态分析,最后十分有说服力地总结了文体与翻译之间存在的关系。

Abstract :This paper is bination of traditional stylistics with modern approaches to the analysis of language varieties and
registers at various levels of prehension. By quoting examples mainly of his own translation , the author first intro
duces the readers to Martin Joos’five degrees of formality , then adopts a dynamic micro to macro view of style on five levels from
word to passage and , finally , very convincingly summarizes the relationships that exist between translation and style.
