ABSTRACT
This paper presents a methodology proposal for the design of Educational-oriented 3D Virtual Environments (EVE). The proposal has been conceived in a way that it guides developers to realize “what”, “how” and “when” to do something on the EVE. It also brings about the analysis on whether Virtual Reality (VR) itself fits appropriately as an adequate solution to deal with the particulars of the target application, by verifying if VR key concepts (namely immersion, interaction and involvement) have been fulfilled altogether with costs, implications, advantages and limitations. An interactive development approach divided into 4 (four) phases, where each of prehends aspects of different disciplines (areas of knowledge) will be shown.
