1. INTRODUCTION
Vojvodina (Autonomous Province of) is the northern most province of the Republic of Serbia. It is mainly plain, with a few mountains, and with lot of rivers, lakes and swamps. Its climate is continental with four seasons and huge temperature differences. Generally, in a half of year it is rich of wind power, while in another of solar one. A lot of agricultural remains are used as biomass, while significant geothermal energy exists also.
Due to very few electrical energy plants on its own territory and fast development in recent years, Vojvodina is lacking electrical energy. Current trends in Europe and in Serbia are massive usage of renewable energy sources (RES), especially wind and solar [1]. Recently adopted long term strategy for energy supply in Vojvodina makes preferences for all kinds of RES. It is expected that from 2008 a request to produce 1% of total energy consumption from RES will be set. Available options are small hydro, wind and solar power for production of electrical energy and solar-thermo, geothermal, biomass and bio-diesel
