ABSTRACT
In this research including 57 studies, with total sample size of 4942 students, comparing face to face education with Based Distance Education piled with meta-analysis method. Approximately 60 % of them (34 studies), takes positive values. Overall effect size is +0,27 in favor of Based Distance Education. The studies are categorically analysed by sample size, course type and academic levels.
 
In the last decade, the has been integrated into the distance education.
Through the history, distance education is carried out with various media, such as books, letters, radio, phone and TV.  Several times, distance education pared to face to face education. If not all, most of them have been labeled with the same title; NSD (No significant difference).
But NSD is a very broad term and in order to detect problems and propose some solutions, the distance education literature must be divided into some meaningful categories. 
Therefore, without considering the media used, talking about distance education broadly will lead broad misconceptions.  Especially is such a powerful media that it cannot be taken into the same account with radio or book.
Hence, based distance education must be evaluated separately.
From this point of view, this research draws a distinct border between distance education before and after .  
In this research, it is figured out that based distance education es a breaking point of the distance education. By means of , NSD (No significant Difference) phenomenon progressively turned into SD (Significant Difference).
