Software product line engineering (SPLE) is a process for creating families of products so that members of the family can be efficiently produced. It integrates ideas from requirements specification and architecture and design to create production processes and tools that support generation of products. SPLE relies on three assumptions for its ess:
(Redevelopment Assumption) Most software development is mostly redevelopment,
(Oracle Assumption) It is possible to predict the types changes that are likely to be needed to a product,
(Organizational Assumption) It is possible anize the software and anization that produces it to take advantage of the predictions..
