Introduction
A potential approach to tomorrow's photovoltaic energy conversion systems includes the so called solid-state dye-sensitized cells (ssDSSCs, see fig. 1), which are bination of two independent solar cell technologies: the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) and the polymer solar cell consisting merely of p- and n-type conjugated polymers [1, 2]. The DSSC consists of dye-sensitized nanostructured titanium dioxide (TiO2 or titania) on pact transparent semi-conducting oxide (titania) and the ponent redox-electrolyte filled in between the two electrodes. The most attractive aspect of using titania, a wide band gap oxide semiconductor ( eV for anatase polymorph), is the fact that the titania can be patterned into a work for electron transport.
