Abstract: Regional economic geography is an important part of regional geography and important branch of e-
conomic geography in the geography system. The research content of regional economic geography is eco-
nomic regions and economic regions system, including the development mechanism, impacting factors, con-
structed types, and operation law of regional system. The main features of this subject include regional char-
acteristics, general characteristics and system characteristics. The realistic base of regional economic geogra-
phy is physical geography, and the theory base is economics, meanwhile it is closely linked with human geog-
raphy and department of economic geography. The main results are that the academic theory of regional eco-
nomic geograph
