(1)Introduction
The topic for the individual project will be selected by the student from within his/her specialist field, in consultation both with his/her tutor. It is important that the aim should be suitably limited. The title should not be a simple statement but should pose a problem to be solved or a matter to be critically evaluated. Pure description should be avoided.
(2)Aims
a) To give the student experience pleting an extended piece of writing in appropriate style and following the conventions of academic writing
b) To give the student practice in library-based techniques – analyzing a problem, ing familiar with relevant theories, collecting, organizing and synthesizing information from a variety of sources relevant to assessment of the problem
c) To give the student practice in selecting material and developing an argument in a clear and readable way. It must be borne in mind that the project will be read and assessed by tutors who are not specialists in your subject
