Abstract: The effects of powdered activated carbon, granular activated carbon, 001 × 7 cation exchange resin and granular activated carbon - 001 ×
7 cation exchange resin on the decolorization of citric acid fermentation broth and the loss of citric acid were discussed. The op timal decoloring agent
and decolorizing technology for citric acid fermentation broth were determ ined. The research on decolorizing technology of citric acid fermentation
broth would not only decrease the p roduction cost of citric acid, but also have considerably p ractical significance on the decolorizing treatment in or
ganic acid and am ino acid industries.
