浅析凯瑟琳·厄恩肖与凯瑟琳·林顿的性格
摘要
《呼啸山庄》是艾米莉·勃朗特唯一的一部小说,也是她的成名作。它是一部关于爱情与复仇的小说。其中男主人公希斯克利夫的复仇牵扯到了两代人。这部小说的两位女主人公为凯瑟琳·厄恩肖和凯瑟琳·林顿,但她们的结局完全不同。本文主要对两位女主人公的性格进行对比分析,并得出结论:性格决定命运。
首先,论文简单介绍一下这篇小说的作者和主要内容。然后论文主体部分对他们的性格进行了对比:先介绍一下他们成长的不同的环境,及其对他们性格形成的影响; 其次分别描述她们小时和长大后的性格及生活;然后分析她们对婚姻的认知及选择;后解释她们的不同结局。通过对两者的性格及人生的对比,最后论文作者分析并得出结论:性格决定命运。

An Analysis of the Personalities of Catherine Earnshaw and Catherine Linton in Wuthering Heights
Abstract
Wuthering Heights is Emily’s only novel, which makes her a prominent author. It is a novel about love and revenge. The vengeance of Heathcliff, the hero, involves in two generations. Catherine Earnshaw and Catherine Linton are the two heroines of the novel; however, their fates pletely different. This essay will mainly focus on the personalities of the two heroines. By analyzing their personalities, the author of this es with the conclusion that one’s personality determines one’s destiny.
In this novel, first the author of this paper will make an introduction to the author and the main plot of the novel. The second part is parison of their characters: first the environments in which the heroines grow up and the influences they have on the heroine’s characters. Then is the main part: parison of the personalities of Catherine Earnshaw and Catherine Linton. After that, the author of this paper will talk about their different attitudes towards love and their choices of mar
