乔家大院位于山西省祁县乔家堡村,北距太原54公里,南距东观镇仅2公里。它又名在“中堂”,是清代全国著名的商业金融资本家乔致庸的宅第。始建于清代乾隆年间,以后曾有两次增修,一次扩建,经过几代人的不断努力,于民国初年建成一座宏伟的建筑群体,并集中体现了我国清代北方民居的独特风格。

乔家大院位于祁县东观镇乔家堡村,距太原54公里,乘车大约一小时就可以到达。乔家大院是一所民居建筑,是我国保存下来的最完整的一座民居建筑。占地8725㎡,建筑面积3870㎡,共6个大院,20个小院,313间房屋。
