注意事项
 
一、本场考试时间为上午9:00——11:00.
 
二、考生务必在答题卡上用黑色字迹签字笔填写自己的准考证号、姓名和学校,再用2B铅笔把对应准考证号码的标号涂黑。
 
三、请考生仔细阅读题目的说明。
 
四、答案必须按要求写在答题卡规定的位置上,凡是写在试题册上的答案一律作废。
 
五、答题时,PartⅠ至 Part Ⅳ部分用2B铅笔按示例填涂,如:[■][B][C][D],用其它符号答题者不记分。修改时,必须先用橡皮擦去原来选定的答案,然后再按要求重新作答。
 
六、Part V 部分必须用黑色字迹的签字笔在答题卡规定区域内作答,超出黑色矩形边框区域的答案无效。
Part I prehension (30%)
Directions: There are three passages in this part. Each passage is followed by some questions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A, B, C, and D. You should decide on the best choice and blacken the corresponding letter on the Answer Sheet.
Passage 1
Questions 1 to 5 are based on the following passage:
If you have a chance to go to Finland, you will probably be surprised to find how “foolish” the Finnish people are.
Take the taxi drivers for example. Taxis in Finland are mostly high-class Benz with a fare of two US dollars a kilometer. You can go anywhere in one, tell the driver to drop you at any place, say that you have some business to attend to, and then walk off without paying your fare. The driver would not show the least sign of anxiety.
The dining rooms in all big hotels not only serve their guests, but also serve outside diners. Hotel guests have their meals free, so they naturally go to the free dining rooms to have their meals. The most they would do to show their good faith is to wave their registration card to the waiter. With such a loose check, you can easily use any old registration card to take a couple of friends to dine free of charge.
