Abstract
Baiyinchagan sunken is located in the west edge of Er Lian basin, it’s a secondary structural unit of Chuan Jing sunken. As other sunkens in Er Lian basin, this one is a Mesozoic basin that is growing above the base of Hercynian folding, controlled by boundary centripetal fault.
In this paper, by the use of the geology analysis method such as evolution history analysis and balanced cross section, I research the relationship between the Cenozoic structural evolution,sunken structural evolution of Bai Yin Cha Gan sunken and oil/gas resource of it, find out that Meso-cenozoic Bai Yin Cha Gan sunken go through five structural evolution phases in uprightness direction: primary chasmic stage、strong chasmic stage、fault sag stage and abortion extruding uplift stage. Generally, the structural feature of this sunken is showing protraction process additionally,its tectonic deformation is mainly protraction action deformation,its structural feature and style are great control factors
