The difference between man made and natural laws
The man-made laws we have discussed so far, can be good or even unreasonable. They also need police enforcement, a judge and jury to convict.
Natural laws that control our universe, need no police or courts, they will enforce themselves.

Importance of natural laws on vehicle handling characteristics
It is our job to know and understand the natural laws that are going to effect vehicle handling characteristics. To break a natural law, or attempt to, might have dire consequences.

Gravity
Gravity is the force that tends to pull all objects toward the center of the earth.
Gravity obviously will affect acceleration and braking when going up or down hills.

Center of gravity
The center of gravity is the point around which all the weight in a vehicle is centered or balanced.
The higher the center of gravity, the more likely the vehicle is to rollover.
A major concern with sport utility vehicles (SUV) is their tendency to flip in a collision.
The center of gravity can be too far forward or backwards due to vehicle design or load which can cause handling problems.

Inertia is a body at rest stays at rest, a body in motion stays in motion in a straight line until acted upon by an outside force.
