Time allocation of teaching periods

1. In this semester, 8 units of book one will be learnt in total 96 teaching periods.
2. on average, each unit will be learnt in about 12 teaching periods. Text Analysis: about 6~9
3. Exercises: about 3 ~5

The word “Paraphrase”
The definition:
Paraphrasing is using your own words to express someone else's ideas while still preserving the main ideas of the original source
What to paraphrase?
1. the difficult words and expressions in the original sentence
2. dialogues (esp. in plays)
3. implied meanings of the author’s
4. long and involved statements
5. figures of speech (修辞)
